    • But I mean what's your thoughts on Felix Mayer or Meyer as Ash Ketchum and why the real reason when they replaced Caroline Combrinck with Felix for unknown reasons?

I'm not really a Pokémon fan anymore, and I really don't watch alot of Pokémon unlike of what I used to during its very early years before I withdrew from RTL II in about early June 2001, also at the time when the 3rd film hit theatres which I never saw, in where I got fed up of not only Pokémon but also RTL II in general, and I rarely watched the channel and Pokémon, except that in this day and age, there's only Pokémon since RTL II is already long gone. And since I do not watch Pokémon anymore, I really can't tell you. So you're better off asking someone else.

    • What's your remarks on the German dub of Glitter Force?

    • I'm not a Netflix user and I don't use Netflix, so I can't really tell you about it. All I can imagine is that it would be just as bad as Digimon Fusion's German dub. And boy, that dub was HORRABLE!!!

    • I agreed, mostly the first five Digimon installments in German are directly translated from the Japanese as with many Asian, Central and South America, MENA (except Israel) and European countries (except UK, Ireland, France, Sweden, Norway and Estonia). There's many reasons why the Digimon Fusion's German dub sucks so more because it's translated from Saban's edited English dub version instead of the original Japanese version just like the aforementioned five installments. Ditto for Digimon: The Movie which is an English adaptation of three different Japanese Digimon movies. The first two parts are from Digimon Adventure and the 3rd part from Digimon Adventure 02.

    • I know. Also, due to the absence of RTL II and most importantly, Arts of Toyco, who were responsible for the translation of the opening, insert and ending songs of Digimon into German, it's really no surprise of how awful the German dub of Digimon Fusion turned out to be.

    • I have recently found a new Anime that has the worst German dub of all, and I am talking about the German dub of an Anime called Chaos Dragon, which is an Anime I'm watching ATM on the Pro7 Maxx website that has the Anime available for free and on demand, but only as long as they can hold on to the license they have of it.

By watching the first episode, I can sincerely say that the German dub of the anime is very poor and very low quality.

    • Did you find any info on the German dubbing company called Digital Media Technologie GmbH? Did you got proper German dubbed credits for Chaos Dragon?

    • Awesome! Another Hamburg-based company. Hamburg is always a city known for providing bad German dubs of anime done by companies based in said city. It is very evident that some of the actors were also involved in Naruto Shippuden, while there was one particular person in the dub's cast, who was involved in the dubbing of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne.

Since KSM Anime has already acquired the rights to Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid in early August of this year, and are planning to release it on February 18th next year, if only if the anime does actually get past the German censors unlike the Mermaid DLC of Bhikkhuni, which caused the German censors alot of problems, I wonder if KSM will also hire the same Hamburg-based studio to do the voice work for said anime. And what I wonder if the same female voice actors who were in KKJ and Naruto will also be cast to do the voice work for the entire all-female cast in Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid. Now that would be the most perfect German dub yet since KKJ!

      1. How many German dubbing companies based in Hamberg?
      2. Why Mermaid DLC of Bhikkhuni got censored in the German version?

    • 1. I really don't know. I think there's about 3 I think.

      2. The Mermaid DLC in Bhikkhuni didn't get censored. It got the game to be refused classification because of Mamori, who is described as flat-chested, underdeveloped (phyiscally), significantly shorter than the other girls, having a child-like voice, appearing very naive, and wearing her hair in pig-tails. It was originally believed that it was some of the characters who were, or appeared to be, as described by the Classification Board, children under 18 years. The publisher has said they included the DLCs with the base game by accident when they submitted it to the Classification Board, which is of why it got refused classification in the first place, and was also the reason why the PC version available on Steam became blocked in my country in less than 2 months after its release and even before the reveal of the real reason behind the refusal. They are now planning to resubmit the base game without its DLCs included to the Classification Board, in hopes to get it rated this time, and the game should also be available on Steam in my country again, while its DLC however will remain blocked because of Mamori.

    • I agreed! But I thought Germany's legal age is 14 rather than 18 much like the United States.

    • Even then, there would still be issues with child pornography virtues as people or characters still need to be above the age of majority, otherwise there will be a lot of controversy (remember the guy game?), which is why they always have to remove the ages of the characters to ensure they are still adult like. But in Germany and even in Australia however, it is actually more than just the ages that matters most: The characters must make sure they do not look underdeveloped physically, significantly shorter than anyone else and do not have child like voices, features and figures. This is also why MeiQ and Criminal Girls 2 have been refused classification in Australia and Germany respectively.
